Youth Development

At the Seaview Renegades, our Youth Development Unit is the foundation for every member’s success. Participation in this program is mandatory for all members of the Marching Band and Performing Arts Division, ensuring that every youth has access to the guidance and support they need to thrive.

Our Youth Development Unit focuses on three key areas:

Academic Development

Members are paired with academic mentors who provide tutoring, study support, and guidance to help achieve educational goals. Through personalized mentorship, workshops, and skill-building sessions, we empower youth to excel academically and build a strong foundation for their future.

Career Development

Our career mentors guide members in exploring career paths, developing professional skills, and preparing for the workforce. From résumé building and interview practice to networking and career workshops, members are equipped with the tools to succeed in their chosen fields.

Personal Development

Through one-on-one guidance with youth advocates, members develop leadership skills, emotional intelligence, and social responsibility. Sessions may include life skills, conflict resolution, and community engagement activities that help youth grow into confident, well-rounded individuals.

Membership Pathway
New members begin by submitting an application via our ‘Join Us’ portal. Once awarded a place, they complete a membership form and enter a 2-month probationary period, during which their participation, commitment, and growth are evaluated. Successful probationary members are then officially graduated to full membership.
